Philippe Cognée, né en 1957, est à l’honneur de trois expositions présentées au musée Bourdelle, au musée de l’Orangerie, à Paris, et au musée de Tessé, au Mans. Ce hors-série explore son œuvre construite comme une traversée de l’histoire de l’art, avec ses « repeintures » de centaines d’œuvres empruntées à l’art occidental, mais aussi du monde contemporain, où paysages, architectures et objets du quotidien sont retravaillés à partir de photographies et estompés jusqu’aux frontières de l’abstraction.
